As you may have guessed by the title of this post, Christmas is my favorite time of year and for me it starts Nov 1 (sorry Scrooges)! I love the music, I love the cookie baking (aka bowl licking), tree trimming, present wrapping (even though I’m not so great at it), and of course watching all the Christmas classics.
I’ve rounded up some of my must-have items for this time of year (all of which are linked if you’re looking for one or several of these items). I won’t go into detail with all of them but just a few of my favorites for the season.
Cozy Jammies
My family hasn’t ever done the matching jammies for Christmas Eve/Morning but I can never get tired of anything cozy and Christmas-y. Usually this time of year, you can find me curled up with a blanket and hot chocolate (or a Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks) while watching a Christmas movie (I have too many favorites to list).
Cookie Cutters
My family bakes 2 different types of family recipe cookies every Christmas. We make Chocolate Pixies which are basically like Crinkle Cookies (but way better) and Tea Cookies which are sugar cookies. Baking has always been a fun hobby for me so of course I love decorating and baking during this season. I found these Grinch cookie cutters and I had to have them! My family is obsessed with the Grinch so they will definitely be added to the cookie cutter collection this year.
Cute Festive Mugs
I have last year’s version of this mug and it’s definitely one of my favorites! How else are you going to enjoy hot chocolate during December…? Enough said.
Christmas Tree
Ummmm…if you don’t get this one…
Advent Calendar
Okay, quick story time: when I was little I had an advent calendar that had chocolates in every box. It was the best thing ever. Me being me, I ate like 2 weeks worth of chocolate when I thought my mom wasn’t looking. So naturally I tried to put the door on the advent calendar back so she wouldn’t notice…yeah, didn’t go so well. If you’re unfamiliar with advent season, it’s basically preparing for the birth of Jesus. I’ve done some devotionals throughout the season and having some sort of countdown to Christmas always heightens excitement. I will link the one I’ll use closer to Christmas on my LiketoKnow.it. I found this one from Target.
Peppermint Bark
If y’all only knew how much I live on this stuff during December. It’s honestly it’s own food group. Buddy the Elf would be so proud. This tin is so good but I also love the Ghiradelli squares.
