Caffeine + Ripped Jeans: May 31, 2020
I started throwing around the idea of blogging my freshman year of college. I actually had to create a “fake” blog for a class in college but several brands became interested. My professor told me this may be something I would want to pursue and honestly, I thought he was crazy. I wasn’t sure what kind of blogger I wanted to be or what all I needed in order to make it look nice and how to write a post. Fast forward a few years later, I sifted through a couple of different tries and after a few failed attempts and some naysayers making me rethink this dream, I finally went for it. It started originally as a blog called Peach Posh but I didn’t feel that that name truly reflected me or my style and I felt pigeon-holed. The inspo for this blog name actually came from a picture in my room from Hobby Lobby. It just says, “running on caffeine and ripped jeans” with a few drawings around it. I was in the process of rebranding and trying to find something that reflected me and one of my best friends literally pointed to it and said: “found your new name.”
So, here I am on my little corner of the internet sharing all things related to style, beauty, faith, a good cup of coffee, home goods and anything else that comes up along the way. Thank you so much for following along on my Instagram (@caffeineandrippedjeans) and blog, your support means the world! xx

// About Alex
Hey girl, hey! My name is Alex Davies and I am a 20-something style blogger living in Atlanta. I graduated from college in 2018. I went to college wanting to be a sports broadcaster, but as God would have it I am now employed as a Marketing Director and a Style and Lifestyle Blogger.
I grew up with mostly guys so girly things weren’t a huge draw with my crowd. Throughout college, my life was never dull with my on-campus and off-campus jobs but I found ways to look put together while being completely comfortable. Soon, I had some friends ask me to help them with their hair, picking out outfits for a night out, or their make-up and I loved seeing how different all their styles were. I didn’t realize it at the time but helping my friends feel confident in what they were wearing was helping me realize my love for personal style. They began to encourage me to start blogging (or at least just having a separate Instagram). At the time, I laughed it off until I had a few modeling jobs and the marketing world started to peak my interest. I started…well….not stalking but stalking….fashion bloggers and wanting to pursue that as a hobby.
I would describe my style as laid back, girly, classic, budget…sometimes boujee on a budget, and most importantly: comfortable. I love a good sale and I love finding classic pieces with a little bit of a trendy mix. I hope to keep y’all entertained + caught up on all that I am wearing, what I am doing and anything new I’m learning along the way!
So, grab that BIG cup of coffee + come hang with me for a little bit.
// Frequently Asked Questions

What do you use to curl your hair?
I use this wand from T3Micro. It is on the pricey-er side but it is soooo worth it in my opinion. Major Plus: It also doesn’t fry your hair.

What skincare products do you use?
My skincare routine is from Skin Pharm. They have offices in Nashville and now Atlanta! (If you’re not local to either of those, they also do phone consultations). I use their Clarifying Pads, Charcoal Mask, Papaya Enzyme Cleanser, Retinol Drops, Youth Serum and their Clarifying Brightening Polish! My skin type is oily to combination and the brightening polish has helped my skin so much in terms of acne and oil production.
Do you have hair extensions?
I don’t. My hair is 100% natural (minus some highlights I get in the summer) and super thick! When I do get highlights: I usually just get some caramel and honey ones put in with my layered cut.
